The First Presbyterian Church 1793 is a congregation of Presbyterians committed to being open to all persons who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and who feel called by God to demonstrate their call through celebration and service that lifts high God's grace and acceptance of each and every individual.
Members are received through Session on a regular basis. New members are encouraged to become involved in the total life of the church. Most find themselves actively involved to the level of their choosing within the first few months.
While we, as a congregation, seek and welcome new members, we also respect an individual's autonomy. We recognize that visitors need time to evaluate our ministry without interference from us. Non-members are welcome to participate as fully as they desire while determining whether and when they wish to join our fellowship.
We are deliberate about whom we are as a people of God in support of one another and in service to the community and to the world. We are an inclusive congregation welcoming persons committed to celebrating the diversity of God's family on earth.
